Privacy Notice

This notice covers the Sterka waitlist only: the email you give us so we can tell you when invites open. Sterka is not yet available to use. When the app launches, a full product privacy policy will govern your account and training data, and it will replace this page.

Who we are

Sterka is operated by Dunderline B.V., a company registered in the Netherlands with the Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 78680220, at Herengracht 551, 1017 BW Amsterdam. Dunderline B.V. is the controller of the personal data described here. For any privacy question, or to exercise a right below, email privacy@getsterka.com.

What we collect, and why

When you join the waitlist, we store:

• Your email address, so we can tell you when your invite is ready. We process it on the basis of your consent, given when you ask us to contact you. Providing it is voluntary; without an email address we can’t tell you when invites open. We email you a link to confirm the address is yours; until you confirm, you are not added to the list.
• Whether you opted into the training letter, and the time you did. This is a separate, optional consent (the unticked checkbox on the form), never bundled with the waitlist itself. We send the training letter only if you tick it, and you can withdraw at any time.
• Basic attribution: the site or link that referred you, and any campaign tags in that link (the utm_ parameters). We process this on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding which channels reach people. It is not used to build a profile of you, and you can object to it (see your rights).
• How the site is used: we measure page views with cookieless analytics that sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and cannot identify you. We process this on the basis of our legitimate interest in knowing whether the site works. It is never linked to your waitlist entry, and you can object to it (see your rights).

We do not collect your name, health data, or payment details at this stage, and the marketing site sets no non-essential cookies. Your IP address passes through our hosting provider’s network, which may use it transiently to protect the site against abuse; it is not stored with your waitlist entry.

How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist entry until the invite-only period ends, or until you ask us to remove it or unsubscribe, whichever comes first. If you opted into the training letter, we keep your email until you unsubscribe. Every letter carries a one-click unsubscribe.

Who else touches it

Your data is never sold, and never used for advertising. A small number of processors handle it on our behalf: our email delivery provider, to send the training letter; our hosting provider, where the waitlist is stored; and our privacy-preserving, cookieless analytics tool. We put a data-processing agreement in place with each of them. Where a provider processes data outside the EEA, we rely on safeguards approved under the GDPR, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not share your email with anyone else.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, including in a portable, machine-readable format; ask us to correct it; or ask us to erase it. You can withdraw your consent at any time, both to being contacted about the waitlist and to the training letter, which stops that use from then on. You can object to the attribution and analytics processing described above, and you can ask us to restrict how we use your data. Email privacy@getsterka.com and we will respond within one month. If you believe we have mishandled your data, you can complain to your local data protection authority. In the Netherlands that is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Changes

If this notice changes before launch, the updated version appears here. When the app launches, the full product privacy policy replaces it.
